Meet The Team

Poppy Livingstone (any pronouns) is an 18-year-old artist, writer, and photographer based in Connecticut. Their work has been featured at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Westport, CT, and can be found in Scholastic News Magazine. They work as a freelance artist, writer, and ESL teacher. They will be attending Boston University next year. When they’re not feverishly working on Mister Magazine (and other projects), you can find them at movie theaters, house shows, and/or the middle of the woods. Aliyah Knight (they/she) is a 20-year-old Sydney based writer & filmmaker currently studying for a BFA in Screen Production at AFTRS. Their shorts ‘home bodies’ and ‘Goodbye Mr. Wilde’ are set to be released later this year, and their poetry will soon appear in Travesties?! and Powders Press. When she isn't writing or onset, you can probably find her eating eggplant dumplings and rewatching Bridesmaids. She writes on aliyahs.substack.com and tweets at @a1iyahswrld. 

Vy Nguyen (she/her) is a 19-year-old filmmaker and a photographer. Besides working part-time, she is also full-time student who is working towards a degree in Film and Media Arts. Throughout the years, she has been awarded for her photography and has received recognition from VSCO. During her senior year of high school, she has led her school’s Film Program as one their two Film Directors. Her film works have been accepted in the All American Film Festival and the Kansas City FilmFest International. In her spare time, she loves to write prose, read, and spend time with friends! Maurice King (they/he) is a writer, poet, stylist, and model currently studying art history & fashion at Fordham University in NYC. Much of their work draws from their life as a queer LGBT individual, mental health, philosophy, & religion. They enjoy wandering to nowhere in particular, writing letters, visiting museums, picking flowers, & dancing! Their instagram is @mauriceking_ & tumblr @mvvrris.
