I’m scheduling this email from LaGuardia Airport on a cloudy Friday morning, thinking about the [INSERT REGIONAL WEATHER DESCRIPTOR HERE] Monday afternoon from which it will be read.

The weather app tells me that it’ll be 86 and sunny from Boulder (where I’m headed), 98 and humid in Georgia (where Tima lives), and 72 and rainy in Boston (where we met). Dear reader, you’re most likely to be reading from the United States, but might also be from Beijing (brief showers), Lambeth (light winds), Berlin (partly cloudy), Uusimaa (unseasonably warm), Manitoba (mainly sunny), Tehran (predictably sweltering), or Bucharest (punishingly hot). To our growing camp of Baltimorean Misterites, pack an umbrella tonight! And for the unplaceable 18% of you with VPNs, I hope you’re staying safe and sane as you float across the world wibe web.
